I was looking for a web site that rated scales and found your site. I love
reading all the informative info you have on different scales and which crooks
to avoid, I had narrowed my choices down to three different scales till I read
your ratings now I have it narrowed down to around twenty different scales. I
have purchased 3 scales on ebay one cheap but accurate no name scale I wanted to
use for shipping in my business and it done ok but when I wanted to use it for
reloading ammo it was useless so I purchased a used Ohaus scale that was missing
the slide on the beam so I told the seller which they tried blaming the shipper
but they ended up refunding my money and told me just to trash the scale.next I
ordered a Scout II and I have to turn it on and hold down the calabrate button
7-8 timrs before I can get it to zero out without a error message comming up and
if I had to weigh anything over 40 grams I get another error message, I have
learned my lesson about cheap no name scales and used scales so I almost
purchased a Jennigs JS 300 till I noticed the seller cant spell or they want you
to believe your getting a Jennings hoping you dont notice its spelled Jennigs ,
I almost missed it.
I need you expert advice!! I want a scale that will weigh
at least 200 grams I could live with 100 and its accurate to 0.01 that fits my
price range of 75.00 I was looking at the Palmscale 6.0 but I read the docking
station is cheap and works half the time. I then looked at the The new AXE 2 it
really sounds good but so does the Jennings JS series. So my question to you if
you had 75.00 which scale would you buy? Is there a scale that sells for 100.00
that you would wait an extra week longer for, till you could spend that extra
money? or is there really a scale worth the extra 25.00 dollars? that is that
much better quality, and has that many more bells and whistles What would you
do? It does not have to be a pocket scale a bench size is ok, I'm not going to
be carrying it with me everywhere I go. Whats your choice.

cheap knock offs and just plain cheap scales out there, I can really use your

If you really want an
If you really want an accurate 200g x 0.01 scale, hmm there is a great Sartorius
scale but it's out of that price range. If you're talking about reloading I can
share with you what I use. I use the iBalance 101 which reads to 0.005g. I find
that this is much more stable for 0.1gn, and seems to be just as accurate as my
expensive other scale (name witheld) when it comes to 0.1gn readings. There are
a lot of people who offer the iBalance 101, so take the time to shop around and
hopefully you'll find one in your price range. Otherwise the cheap 200g x 0.01
scales are DEFINITELY not worth risking your life over - you will end up with a
hot load and lots of danger!
